Engineering Logic
This system is engineered as contract-grade furniture.
It addresses the critical failure mode of Joint Fatigue located at the primary rail connections.
In Luxury Hospitality environments, guests frequently recline against the headboard, creating significant cantilever torque that can loosen standard hook-rail systems.
We resolve this by integrating the OE-Lock™ Multi-Axis Joinery System, which creates a rigid, non-deformable interface between the headboard and the sleeping platform.
This methodology aligns with the internal stability criteria established for high-traffic zones.
Baroque-Style Typology – Aesthetic Structure
Designed as a synthesis of comfort and classical form, the Baroque-Style Button-Tufted Bed features a distinctive curvilinear silhouette.
Both the headboard and footboard utilise a deep-buttoned (capitonné) tufting technique, which serves a dual purpose: providing acoustic dampening and mechanically securing the fabric under tension.
The exposed frame is treated with a Silver-Gilt Finish System, highlighting the carved floral crests and scrollwork without compromising the structural integrity of the wood beneath.
Architects may define specific textile grades and metallic tones through our
bespoke specification process.
Project-Specific Interpretation
In a hypothetical commission for a Luxury Hotel Suite, the system was adapted to withstand
the specific challenge of Joint Fatigue.
The client required a bed that conveyed opulence but could endure daily housekeeping and guest usage.
The integration of the OE-Lock™ Multi-Axis Joinery System ensured that the bed remained silent and stable, preventing the common “squeaking” associated with loose joinery in timber beds.
Construction & Material Behaviour
The selected Velvet & Hardwood Assembly is bonded to a core engineered
specifically for commercial stability.
- Joinery: Heavy-duty steel corner brackets reinforced with vibration-locking nuts.
- Finish: Catalysed lacquer over silver leaf to resist abrasion and impact.
- Load Behaviour: Slat system calibrated to support heavy contract mattresses without sagging.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is the tufting done by hand?
A: Yes. We utilise traditional hand-tufting methods to ensure uniform tension and fold depth across the upholstery field.
Q: Can the finish be changed to gold?
A: Yes. The frame can be finished in Champagne Gold, Antique Gold, or painted lacquers to match the interior scheme.
Q: Is the bed compatible with hotel housekeeping standards?
A: Yes. The clearance under the rails allows for standard cleaning equipment access, and the finish is resistant to commercial cleaning agents.
