Engineering Logic
This system is engineered as contract-grade furniture.
It addresses Hygroscopic Swell typically observed in Diplomatic Residence environments where climate control may vary between wings.
Large-format vertical doors are prone to bowing when the ambient humidity shifts, causing latch misalignment and hinge stress.
We resolve this by integrating the OE-Core™ Cross-Laminated Substrate into the door panels, ensuring they remain dead-flat.
This construction method ensures adherence to our strictly defined engineering principles regarding planar stability.
Neoclassical Typology – Aesthetic Structure
Designed as a controlled study of classical order, the Neoclassical Gilded Wardrobe functions as a movable architectural wall.
The facade is punctuated by fluted pilasters topped with carved capitals, supporting a heavy entablature with egg-and-dart molding.
The six-door configuration features a central mirrored section for light reflection, flanked by solid panels adorned with gilded floral swags and ribbon motifs.
Architects may define specific finish tones (e.g., Cream, Patinated White, or Walnut) through our
bespoke specification process.
Project-Specific Interpretation
In a hypothetical commission for a Diplomatic Residence, the system was adapted to withstand
the specific challenge of Hygroscopic Swell.
The sheer height of the doors required a substrate with zero memory; standard MDF or plywood would drift over time.
The integration of the OE-Core™ Cross-Laminated Substrate ensured long-term stability
without reliance on site correction, guaranteeing smooth operation of the locking mechanisms for decades.
Construction & Material Behaviour
The selected Lacquer & Gilt Assembly is bonded to a core engineered
specifically for structural rigidity.
- Joinery: Knock-down (KD) cam-lock systems reinforced with steel dowels for on-site assembly.
- Finish: Hand-applied gold leaf over a bole base, sealed for durability.
- Load Behaviour: Internal shelving calibrated to support heavy ceremonial garments without deflection.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this wardrobe shipped fully assembled?
A: No. Due to its architectural scale, it is engineered for flat-pack transport and precision on-site assembly.
Q: Can the interior be customised?
A: Yes. We offer modular internal configurations including pull-down rails, drawers, and safe compartments.
Q: Is the mirror safety-rated?
A: Yes. All mirrored panels utilise tempered or safety-backed glass suitable for contract environments.
