This is contrasted by the precision of the gold leaf application on the raised bolection mouldings and the central rosette medallions. The heavy upper cornice features a pierced geometric gold frieze, referencing the triglyphs found in Neoclassical architecture.
Construction Logic & Material Behaviour
The carcass is built from high-density blockboard and solid beech, ensuring the panels remain planar and do not warp over the 2400mm vertical span. The central doors incorporate 6mm bevelled mirrors, which serve to visually double the room’s depth and reflect light in darker dressing areas.
- Joinery: The unit is constructed as a “knock-down” system, allowing the large cornice and plinth to be disassembled for installation in rooms with restricted access.

- Hardware: Handles are cast brass with a twisted rope motif, finished in polished gold to match the frieze.
