Engineering Foresight
The development of this system began with the assumption that Lateral Torque would eventually compromise the connection between the heavy scroll arms and the vertical stile. These are issues that typically surface after three to five years of use. Rather than relying on standard dowel construction, the design neutralizes this force by integrating OE-Lock™ Reinforced Tenons directly into the frame sub-structure.
This intervention interrupts the failure path before it reaches the visible surface. The carving continuity is preserved regardless of asymmetric loading patterns.
Technically, the Rococo Giltwood Upholstered Sofa is conceived as a configurable furniture system. Categorically defined as freestanding furniture rather than millwork. Load transfer to architectural structures remains outside the furniture scope unless explicitly specified during CAD coordination.
Project-Specific Interpretation
